Brush Pick Up for 2023
BRUSH PICK UP FOR 2023
ABSOLUTELY NO CONTRACTOR BRUSH WORK WILL BE PICKED UP or
ALLOWED DROP OFF AT THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
ABSOLUTELY NO LOT CLEARING
May 1, June 5, July 6, Aug 7, Sept 5
(If a holiday falls on a Monday the pick-up will be the next day.)
Beginning Monday of the FIRST WEEK of the month we will have two teams
Team one: will start in the West working East
Team two: will start in the East working West
Until all roads have been covered (136 miles)
NOTE: Residents ~ please have brush on curb/roadside
Sunday night “Before” the first Monday of each current month to ensure your brush is picked up.
Once we have picked up brush on your street,
pick up will “not” be done again until the following month.
- Please pile Branches neatly at curb/roadside all in one direction parallel with the road, not in the street.
- Leave branch length up to 6 foot
- Branch diameter limit is 6"
- ABSOLUTELY NO: ROOT BALLS, ROCKS/STONES, LAWN CLIPPINGS, THORNY BRUSH, PLANT WASTE/ORNAMENTAL GRASSES or VINES (will cause damage to chipper). We recycle our wood chips to residents of Vestal, who often use them in play areas for children.
If you cannot wait for pick up, you may bring your branches to 1801 Glenwood Road Highway Dept. M-F 7am to 3pm.
