Summer Camps 2024

There are sixteen different camps this summer. The camps listed below include Baseball, Advanced Baseball Clinic, Co-Ed Soccer, Girls Advanced Soccer, Girls Basketball, Girls Lacrosse, Boys Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Running, Softball, Volleyball, Co-Ed Basketball and Field Hockey. New camps for 2024: Girls Flag Football, Elite Basketball and Acting.

  • Register online at Vestalny.myrec.com, and pay with credit card for immediate confirmation. If you do not have an account, please create an account with your household information. Be sure to add all the members of your household to the account. Don't forget to enter your cell phone number so we can text you any last minute program changes.

Acting Camp
Have fun learning to stretch your imagination, create a believable character, and tell a story on stage. Participants will play improvisational theatre games, practice healthy vocal projection, learn how to have a successful audition and develop their physical and vocal acting skills.

Dates: July 29 - August 2, Monday - Friday

Advanced Baseball Clinic
Join us for a three-day clinic that will teach championship-level drills and skills, and how to have fun playing baseball. Learn competitive strategies and how to train and practice like an experienced player. Bring sneakers, cleats, glove, water and snack.

Baseball Camp 
This camp will cover all baseball fundamentals, including the offensive elements of the game: hitting, bunting, and base running. The defensive elements: catching, throwing, fielding, and fielding by position. Pitching mechanics and demonstrations. Open to boys and girls. Participants must provide own glove, sneakers or cleats, snack and a water bottle with name on it.

Dates: July 15 - 19,  Monday - Friday

Boys Lacrosse Camp  
Learn all phases of lacrosse this summer. Skills include: passing, catching, cradling, scooping ground balls, shooting, dodging, defensive and offensive strategy, face-offs and goalkeeping.

Dates:  July 22 - 26,  Monday - Friday

Times: 9:00 - 11:30 AM

Ages: 7 -14 years (Participants divided by age) 

Cost: $55.00 Resident  $65.00 Non-Resident

Includes: T-shirt, lacrosse ball, awards, games and pizza party. Goalie sticks, gloves, helmets, shoulder pads and mouth guards are provided. 
Please Note: Participants must provide a lacrosse stick, arm pads and water bottle.

Cheerleading Camp  
Spend a fun-filled week dancing, cheering, and jumping. Girls will learn basic arm motions and jumps, as well as an original dance and cheer. Participants will be working on the fundamentals every girl should know before trying out for CYO. This camp is a great opportunity to learn if cheerleading is the sport for you! Offering two separate weeks this year! Note: Both weeks are the same.

Dates:  Week 1: July 1 - 5,  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 
              Week 2: July 15 -18,  Monday - Thursday

Co-Ed Soccer Camp

Learn soccer skills and tactics in an instructional environment that is challenging and fun! The focus of the camp will be to develop skills of the game through many exciting activities. Skills taught will include ball control, passing, receiving, shooting/finishing, and goalkeeping. Individual defending and attacking skills and tactics will also be covered. Both boys and girls are welcome and participants will be grouped according to age. Bring a  water bottle with your name marked on it. Wear shin guards and sneakers or cleats (no sandals).

Dates:  July 29 - August 2,  Monday - Friday

Girls Advanced Soccer Camp

This camp will include advanced techniques and tactics taught in small and large group game situations. Instruction is designed to meet the needs of high school athletes. The latest in strength and condition training will be used each day. Techniques (skills) necessary to compete at the high school level and beyond will be taught and reinforced through drills and games. Positional roles in different offensive and defensive team strategies will be emphasized. Instruction from highly qualified coaching staff with college soccer experience.

Dates:  August 19 - 23,  Monday - Friday

Girls Field Hockey Camp
This camp will focus on skill development through exciting drills and games. Skills taught will include dribbling, passing, receiving, positioning, shooting and goalkeeping. Includes drills for specific situations, conditioning techniques and gameplay.

Ages: Kindergarten (must be 5 at start of camp) - 6th Grades - Participants will be divided by age.

Times: 4:00 - 6:00 PM

Girls Lacrosse Camp
This camp will emphasize stick skills with a focus on fundamental passing and catching techniques, dodging, draws, ground balls, basic defensive techniques and effective offensive concepts. Small group instruction will allow for individual attention. Players will be grouped by skill level to allow proper skill progression and success. Skills will be taught through drills and fun activities that allow participants to develop confidence and to enjoy the game of lacrosse. Small group team activities will be introduced as well as our famous T-shirt activity, where each player designs and makes their own Vestal lacrosse t-shirt. 

Dates:  July 15 - 19,  Monday - Friday

Running Camp 

Learn the fundamentals of running while having fun, meeting new friends, and engaging in friendly physical challenges. Participants will leave the camp with greater self-confidence and an appreciation for running. The camp is led by coaches from the Vestal Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Participants should dress according to the weather, wear running/athletic sneakers, and bring water and a healthy snack.

Dates: July 29 - August 16,  Monday - Wednesday - Friday
